An explosion has been reported on the metro in the Russian city of St Petersburg, according to state-run media TASS.
“A blast occurred at Sennaya Ploshchad metro station, several people have been injured,” a local law enforcement source said, adding that there was smoke.
St Petersburg is Russia’s second city.
