For the second time this week, the Curwensville Golden Tide bats and gloves never took to the field. Monday’s game at Brockway was postponed due to unplayable conditions. Thursday, the Tide were to travel to face the Chucks of Punxsutawney.
However, early afternoon rain and then a stream of showers in the afternoon, dictated a different outcome.
The weather forced the postponement of the Tide-Chucks game, the second postponement in four days for the Tide, who opened their season a week ago.
Curwensville (0-1) is looking to get to their winning ways. Next week will have three games slated, with all three happening on the Tide’s home field. The first of those games will be on Monday when Curwensville hosts the Elk County Catholic Crusaders. First pitch is set for 4:15 p.m.
The Brockway game that was to take place on Monday has been rescheduled for Monday, April 10.
