WILLIAMSPORT — Freshman 197-pounder Travis Ogden (Clearfield) was named Middle Atlantic Conference Wrestler of the Week for his meet-clinching fall in Lycoming’s 24-16 victory at Gettysburg Saturday.
The Warriors (7-1) had rallied from a 13-5 deficit to take an 18-13 lead with two bouts remaining before Ogden flattened Brandon Gallagher at the 2:11 mark after building a 12-1 advantage.
The pin was a team-high seventh for Ogden, who is 14-6 with a 6-2 dual meet record.
Warrior senior Nolan Barger (Clearfield) moved up a weight to 174 and received a forfeit that set his record at 8-0 in dual meets and 17-1 overall.
Barger is ranked No. 5 by d3wrestle.com and No. 7 by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
GREENSBURG — Freshman forward Cody Spaid (Clearfield) snared a season-high nine rebounds, second on the team, and added two points, one assist and two blocks in just 12 minutes as Pitt-Greensburg made its best showing of the season in an 81-75 loss to Mount Aloysius in Chambers Hall last Wednesday.
Spaid’s layup with 6:32 remaining in the first half gave the Bobcats their biggest lead, 32-23, but the Mounties surged in front by intermission and went on to earn their first victory.
Spaid had one rebound in Pitt-Greensburg’s 108-90 loss to D’Youville at Buffalo, N.Y., Saturday.
The two Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference setbacks dropped the Bobcats to 0-7.
Spaid’s season totals show 26 points, 26 rebounds, two assists, one steal and six blocks.
He has averaged 12.3 minutes in the eight games.

MONACA — Freshman guard Caleb Strouse (Clearfield) scored his first three points in his second appearance for Penn State DuBois in a 92-56 Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference loss to host Penn State Beaver last Wednesday.
He also had one defensive rebound.
Strouse also saw brief action Saturday when the Lions knocked off Penn State Greater Allegheny 87-80 in overtime on the Multipurpose Building Gym hardwood. The visitors were ranked No. 6 in the latest United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division II poll.
Penn State DuBois (6-4) is in a four-way tie for third place in the PSUAC at 3-2.
