DUBOIS – The Winkler Gallery & Art Education Center will be hosting its 13th annual holiday reception from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Dec. 10.

The event is a great opportunity to showcase the excellent juried artists to art appreciators – old and new, according to organizers.

The Winkler Gallery is home to 21 artists with a guest artist featured for the holiday season. This year the guest artist is Jason Lewis of Clarion.

Of his philosophy and work, he says: “My paintings and drawings are representations of the western Pennsylvania landscape.  It is my goal to depict the unique character and simple beauty of the place I call home.

“I have an amateur interest in the subjects of local history, topography, geology and biology. These interests inform my work and keep me engaged in the creative process.”

Featured at this year’s event will be a bottle signing by Founding Artist Perry Winkler. He was the winner of the Biltmore Estate International Wine Label contest for 2016 and 2013. He is the only two-time winner.

The gallery will also be welcoming new Friends of the Gallery, a program to encourage volunteerism and patronage.

According to event organizers, there will be a lovely flower arrangement raffle provided by Brady St. Florist, a 50/50 drawing, a wine tasting by Winery at Wilcox, a Dog G’s Brewing tasting, Aegis Coffee Roasters and much more.
