State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Sept. 16 on Centre Street, Curwensville. During the incident, a Curwensville man and woman allegedly became involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. Both sustained minor injuries, state police said. State police cited both for harassment as a result of the incident.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Sept. 20 on East Pine Street in Philipsburg. Upon arrival it was found that the victim had medication removed from her bedroom, state police said, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing at this time.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of DUI that occurred Thursday on Game School and Richardsville roads in Polk Township. Further, a Johnsonburg man is suspected of driving while under the influence of drugs.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary, theft and criminal trespass that occurred Sept. 17-18 on German Settlement Road in Horton Township. During the incident, someone allegedly gained entry through an unsecured door and removed numerous items from the victims’ residence.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a parking complaint at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male at the Lawrence Township Rec Park. Upon arrival he was found to be OK.
- Police responded to Byers Street for a report about suspicious persons.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident along Byers Street. According to the report, a vehicle left the roadway and struck a house. The driver was transported to Altoona Hospital and the homeowner to Clearfield Penn Highlands for medical treatment, police said.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday police reported that a 30-year-old Reynoldsville woman lost control of her vehicle while traveling on Route 119/Sykes Street Extension. It caused her vehicle to spin around, travel off the road and crash into a tree. Her injuries were severe, police said, and she was flown to Altoona from the scene. Alcohol was a suspected factor, and the accident investigation is ongoing, according to the report.
- While at the previous accident Wednesday, police reported that a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old Rockton man traveled through the scene, nearly hitting several first responders. Officers pulled the vehicle over, and the driver related that he’d lost his brakes. Officers checked the vehicle and found it was not inspected or registered. Upon further investigation, police found that the vehicle’s front brakes were not in working order. Charges are currently pending for the traffic violations as well as for drug paraphernalia found in the vehicle and possibly belonging to the passenger, a 33-year-old Sykesville woman.
- On Wednesday a 37-year-old Monessen man reported concerns regarding the mother of his children a 28-year-old Circle Road woman, allowing another man to live with her and the children. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle traveling up and down Greenwood Road on Thursday. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police took a 38-year-old Treasure Lake man into custody due to a warrant Thursday at his home without incident.
- Police received a report about a possible burglary Thursday on Lincoln Drive. Upon arrival officers found the 31-year-old residents were outside the residence, insisting a man who is wanted by local police was in a tree in the neighboring woods. However, officers could not locate the suspect. Both individuals admitted to taking prescription medication, police said in the report.
- On Thursday a truck driver reported to police that while his truck was parked in the Pilot parking lot, another truck hit and scuffed the mirror on the driver’s side and then left the scene.
