MILESBURG – The Clearfield Bison baseball team handed Bald Eagle Area (BEA) four unearned runs in a 5-2 defeat Thursday afternoon in Milesburg in Mountain league (ML) play.
The Eagles beat the Bison 2-1 earlier this season at Clearfield.
Clearfield picked up runs in the third and sixth innings while BEA scored one in the first, two in the second and one each in the third and fifth to gain the win.
Clearfield had two hits from junior Zane Morgan and a double from freshman Ty Bender.
For Bald Eagle Area, winning pitcher Ryan Guenot had two hits, one being a double, while scoring three times.
Trey Butterworth and Noah Chambers also had two hits apiece with one for Chambers being a double.
The Bison, overall 8-6 and 5-5 in the ML, take to the road again on Monday with a trip to Saltsburg to play Kiski Prep. Game time is set for 7 pm.
