VCCCLEARFIELD – Staff members at Visit Clearfield County (VCC) have released their listing of weekly events.

Ritz Theater, downtown Clearfield

Monday-Sunday

The theater’s lobby opens at 6:30 p.m. You can grab some popcorn, even if you cannot attend the movie showings. For movies and show times, please call 814-765-5835. Prices are $6 for adults and $4 for children (12 years and under) and senior citizens (60 years and older).

Super 322 Drive-In

April 14-17

The box office at the Super 322 Drive-In will open at 7 p.m. with the show beginning at 8 p.m. The box office accepts cash only. This week’s double feature will be The Jungle Book, PG, and Zootopia, PG.

Elk Antler (Shed) Hunt

The second-ever Elk Antler (Shed) Hunt will be held in the Pennsylvania Elk Management area. Sheds must come from the wild elk herd and not from a game farm or preserve. Quilter’s Retreat

Mahaffey Camp

A Quilter’s Retreat will offer many opportunities to sew ‘n share, work on projects and learn new techniques. Participants are encouraged to bring quilts and projects to display. There will be demos and a variety of workshops and projects. Kits for some projects will be available for a small fee.  The cost of the retreat includes meals, classes and demos and lots of space to work on projects. Traveling Minstrels, Parker Dam

7:30 p.m., Campground Amphitheater

Every year, during spring arrivals, we are presented with nature’s music as our feathered friends make their journey back north. Take a moment this evening to enjoy this film as we learn all about these splendid migratory species.

Most campground amphitheater programs will be moved to the EEC.
Programs in other locations may go on as scheduled or be moved to the EEC, depending on the severity of the weather. Please look for postings at the scheduled site.

Bar-BQ by Old Town Sportsmen’s Club

Clearfield County Fairgrounds, Grove

A “Bar-BQ” by the Old Town Sportsmen’s Club will be held from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday in the Grove area of the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. You can eat-in or take-out and tickets are $8 and available at Jim’s Sports Center, Clearfield.

Fly-fishing Basics, Parker Dam

Perhaps you have fished using a spinning rod in the past and want to try something new? Join one of the park naturalists to be introduced to fly-fishing, discuss techniques, basic knots, and practice fly-casting.

Casino Night by Clearfield Chamber

Community Fundraising Day

Hoss’s Steak and Sea House

A community fundraising day is being held Sunday at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House for a local teen who has been diagnosed with cancer.  It will include an auction, bake sale, gift certificates, event tickets, merchandise and services. Proceeds will be donated to the teen and her family to help with the financial burden of medical treatment and expenses.

Spaghetti Supper

Curwensville Community Center

Spaghetti suppers will be held every Thursday from 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., except on holidays, at the Curwensville Community Center. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children under 12 years and free for children under 6 years. Take-outs are also available.
