CURWENSVILLE — Curwensville Area High School junior Hannah Dixon has been selected as a 2015-16 all-star by the Moshannon Valley League and Allegheny Mountain League girls basketball head coaches.
After making the transition from shooting guard to point guard, Dixon led the Lady Tide in scoring with 242 points, an 11.0 average, and also recorded 49 rebounds, 37 assists and 28 steals.
Moshannon Valley senior Hannah Kitko was named the Most Valuable Player in her third year as an MVL All-Star.
West Branch senior Jalee Rockey and Harmony junior Tara Hauser are repeaters from 2014-15.
Also cited were West Branch senior Taylor Pedmo and Glendale junior Cierra O’Shell.

Dixon is one of nine AML All-Stars who will be returning next season, as Jessica Kifer of Ridgway was the lone senior to make the team.
Kifer, junior Riley Assalone of DuBois Central Catholic and sophomore Trinity Clark of Kane were honored for the second year in a row.
They are joined by junior Jordy Frank of DuBois Central Catholic, sophomore Leah Lindemuth of Brockway, junior Reilley Herzing of Elk County Catholic, sophomore Emily Fullem of Ridgway, freshman Cassidy King of Johnsonburg and freshman Ella Marconi of Kane.
Final Allegheny Mountain League standings:
South Division – DuBois Central Catholic 9-1, Brockway 4-6, Ridgway 4-6, Curwensville 1-9.
North Division – Kane 8-2, Elk County Catholic 7-3, Johnsonburg 7-3, Sheffield 0-10.
