Former Alaska governor and Trump surrogate Sarah Palin abruptly canceled a campaign event set to take place Monday in Florida.
“The event scheduled for Governor Sarah Palin to take place today in The Villages, Florida at 12:00 PM, has been cancelled,” the Trump campaign announced in a statement. “Governor Palin wishes her best to Mr. Trump in the upcoming primaries.”
The release did not mention any reason for the cancellation.
Palin’s cancellation comes two days after Trump scrapped a rally in Chicago due to protests. The number of protestors at Trump’s rallies has grown over the past couple of weeks.
The 2008 vice presidential nominee endorsed the business mogul in January.
