Baghdad market bombings kill 28; ISIS claims responsibility

Two blasts that rocked a busy outdoor market in eastern Baghdad on Sunday killed at least 66 people, Iraq’s Health Ministry said Monday.

Police officials said a motorcycle rigged with explosives and a suicide bomber caused the explosions, which injured at least 161 people in the predominantly Shiite district of Sadr City.

In a statement released by its media wing, ISIS claimed responsibility for what it described as two suicide bomb attacks.
