It’s the Kanye West and Taylor Swift feud — the sequel.
West released some songs Thursday from his new album, “The Life of Pablo,” throwing Swift’s fans into a tizzy.
In the song “Famous,” West reportedly croons, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. / Why? I made that bitch famous.”
As soon as the song’s lyrics became public, outrage poured in on social media from Swift fans.
Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, posted an Instagram video of himself throwing a pair of West’s Yeezy sneakers in the trash.
“Getting a head start on some spring cleaning,” he said in an accompanying caption.
One of Swift’s closest friends, model Gigi Hadid, was at West’s Yeezy Season 3 fashion show in New York, where he debuted the album. In a tweet, she made it clear where her loyalty lies.
“My attendance somewhere does not mean I agree with everything being said in the music playing there,” Hadid tweeted. “My friends know of my loyalty.”
Swift’s regular fans also took to Twitter to express outrage.
On Friday West took to Twitter to defend himself saying, “I did not diss Taylor Swift and I’ve never dissed her…”
This is not the first controversy involving West and Swift.
The two made amends last year following West’s interruption of Swift’s acceptance speech for the MTV VMAs Best Female Video in 2009.
