MARTINSBURG — Central took command with the last 15 points of the first quarter and went on to complete a sweep of Clearfield with a 51-26 win in Mountain League girls basketball action Friday night.
The Lady Bison bolted to a 12-5 lead before the Lady Dragons made their run that turned the tide.
Clearfield (6-8, 4-4 ML) never recovered and managed only seven points in the second half.
Emily Ryan was high for the Lady Bison with 11 points.
Hannah Johnston and Cassie Mock scored 16 apiece for Central, which remained in the league chase at 5-2 and improved to 8-4 overall.
Alayna Ryan had 12 points for the Clearfield junior varsity in a 37-27 loss.
Clearfield begins a three-game week with a trip to St. Marys for a non-league scrap Monday night.
