Gunmen attempt to storm hotel in Egyptian coastal city

Two gunmen attempted to storm a hotel and take guests hostage in the Egyptian coastal city of Hurghada, according to state run al-Ahram news agency.

There are reports of some injuries, al-Ahram reported.

The news agency is also reporting that police have the assailants surrounded and shut down all the streets in the vicinity of the hotel.

Hurghada is a resort town along Egypt’s Red Sea coast, located about 280 miles (451km) from Cairo.
