Three people were injured in a stabbing attack at the Jaffa Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem early Wednesday afternoon, Israeli police said.
Two of the victims were seriously injured, and one was slightly injured, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said. All three were treated at the scene.
Rosenfeld said there were two attackers, one who was fatally shot at the scene and one who died at a hospital.
One of the victims was injured by gunfire, said Israel police spokeswoman Luba Samri, possibly from Israeli police responding to the attack. Both attackers were armed with knives, police said.
Video from the scene shows police cordoning off the area and debris scattered along the stone walls around where investigators were examining evidence.
