Harry Potter is set to take over Hollywood.
Universal Studios Hollywood’s “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will open to muggles and wizarding students alike on April 7, 2016, the company announced Tuesday.
A bit of Hogwarts castle, which will be the focal point for the attraction, was revealed during the big announcement.
Inspired by J.K. Rowling’s stories and the subsequent Warner Bros. films, the company promises a land faithful to the books and movies.
The “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” ride will engage guests with Quidditch-themed 3D-HD goggles while “Flight of the Hippogriff” will be a featured family outdoor coaster. Shops and restaurants will sell Potter-themed food, drink, wands and other gear.
Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure theme park and Universal Studios Florida feature adjacent Wizarding World attractions, and Universal Studios Japan features its own Wizarding World.
