A 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit Tajikistan on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of damage.
The quake’s epicenter was 109 kilometers (68 miles) west of Murghob.
It struck at a depth of 26 kilometers, and rumbled buildings as far away as New Delhi and the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, witnesses said.
Tajikistan is in central Asia, and borders Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
