Another week, another movie trailer involving two legendary superheroes beating each other up on Jimmy Kimmel.
Ben Affleck appeared on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Wednesday night to premiere the latest trailer for the highly anticipated comic book film, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
The three minute long trailer for the upcoming Warner Bros. film included an all-out brawl between the two most famed names in DC comic lore, Henry Cavill’s Superman and Affleck’s Batman.
The brief peek also included other DC stars like Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, and what appeared to be our first look at rumored villain Doomsday.
“If I wanted it, you’d be dead already,” Superman yells at Batman during the epic battle.
The debut came a little more than a week after DC’s biggest rival, Marvel, had a Jimmy Kimmel trailer premiere of its own with “Captain America: Civil War.” In that trailer Captain America took on his fellow Avenger Iron Man.
After Kimmel had his security guard, Guillermo, turn on the bat signal on the roof of his studio, Affleck magically showed up in the audience.
“I’m here,” Affleck said holding a bag of chips. “I’ve been here for, like, 20 minutes.”
Kimmel, who’s had an “interesting” history with Affleck, kept calling the actor “Batman.”
“I’m not actually Batman,” Affleck said. “I have a real name too. You know what that name is, don’t you?”
“It’s Bruce Wayne,” Kimmel responded.
The film distributed by Warner Bros., which like CNN is owned by Time Warner, kicks off the blockbuster season early next year when it debuts on March 25.
The Son of Krypton taking on the Bat of Gotham is projected to be one of the biggest films of 2016.
