The chief selling point for converting personal vehicles or company fleets to natural gas has been oil price volatility versus the stable price of natural gas. With gasoline prices at a national average of $2.32 a gallon and diesel about $2.49, and oil prices expected to stay low for some time, that argument has become harder to make.
