LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – Lawrence Township police would like to ask motorists who travel along Mount Joy Road to the Clearfield Area Elementary School to use caution between River and High Level roads.
“There are numerous bus stops along Mount Joy Road, and there have been numerous times where accidents have occurred,” stated Township Police Chief Mark Brooks in a press release.
“Motorists must keep that in mind when traveling along Mount Joy Road towards River Road. A motorist’s view is obstructed by the hill at the railroad crossing at Moyer’s Auto Body.”
Police would like to urge all motorists to please slow down when approaching the railroad crossing. Police will be increasing patrols along Mount Joy Road during school drop-offs and pick-ups.
