CLEARFIELD – Representatives from the Clearfield Area School District are preparing for the Clearfield Area United Way’s Fall Drive: “Opportunities to Build A Better Tomorrow.”

Shown are CAUW President Mark Schultz, CASD Superintendent Terry Struble and Administrative Secretary Kayla White and CAUW Office Assistant Renee Kelley.

Schultz, Kelley and CAUW Director Nancy Pinto recently met with the school district in order to spread the word about the 24 local member health and human service agencies that are helped year-round by the United Way.

CAUW volunteers will hold their kick-off luncheon at the St. Charles Café Dining Room on Oct. 14. Struble will be the keynote speaker.

“United Way needs everyone’s help to make a difference this year. The member agencies we help touch lives of thousands of people in the communities in eastern, southern and central Clearfield County that we serve,” explained Schultz.

“Our 70 campaign volunteers work tirelessly to make a difference through these agencies whether it’s through allocations, the Reading Ripples book project, free Familywize discount prescription cards, Jeans for Teens, Wish grants, public relations grants or the various items we collect and donate, etc. People of all ages are being helped,” he added.
