A man who has been in police custody in Thailand since August 29 has been identified as the primary suspect in a bombing that killed 20 people at Bangkok’s Erawan Shrine last month, Thai police told CNN on Friday.

The suspect admitted he was the man seen in new surveillance images obtained by authorities that showed the suspect walking into a restroom and changing his yellow shirt to another before he walked out, police said.

Police say they are are confident that the man — who goes by several names including Adem Karadag — carried out the bombings.
