State police at Clearfield
- An incident of harassment/assault occurred Tuesday on Railroad Street in Coalport Borough. During the incident, a known female suspect allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation that turned physical with the victim. The female allegedly grabbed the victim by the right arm and pushed her in the chest. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of theft occurred sometime between Aug. 16 and Aug. 18 on a lane located on Shuckers Orchard Road in Bloom Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a lane sign that was blue with white letters, saying “Beard Ln.” Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
Clearfield Borough
- Police allegedly observed a male littering in Upper Witmer Park. Officers made contact with the male who was advised he would receive a citation for the offense.
- Police responded to an alleged incident of criminal mischief. The complaint was unfounded, police said.
- Police responded to a Dorey Street residence for a welfare check. Everything was found to be OK, police said.
- Police responded to a South Fourth Street residence for a psychological emergency. Police were advised a male was cutting and threatening to stab himself. Also, police were advised he took an unknown amount of pills and then fled the scene. Upon arrival police made contact with the male who had returned to the residence without incident. He was transported to the hospital for an evaluation, police said.
- Police responded to a report about a female walking down East Cherry Street and allegedly screaming obscenities as passing cars. Officers made contact with the female who was then transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
- Police responded to a report about an alleged incident of harassment over parking on private property along West Pine Street. All parties were warned for their actions; they were also advised to stay away from each other and if the conduct continues, then charges would be filed accordingly, police said.
- Police received a report about medication that was allegedly stolen. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at an establishment along Bridge Street. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police responded to a report about a 302 patient allegedly fleeing from the hospital. Officers located, detained and transported the patient back to the hospital.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications. Police were unable to make contact with the actor; the incident remains under investigation.
- Police responded to a burning complaint along High Street. However, police learned that the burning was occurring within the township. Lawrence Township police were advised and responded to the scene.
- Police responded to a noise complaint along South Fourth Street. The actors were warned and advised that if the noise continued, charges would be filed against them, police said.
- While on patrol, police located an open door on a local building. The interior was searched with negative contact, police said. Officers were able to secure the building.
- Police responded to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for an unruly patient who was allegedly causing a disturbance. Officers arrived with the assistance of Lawrence Township police. Upon arrival to the scene, the male was calmed by officers without incident.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a traffic hazard in the area of River and Beacher roads.
- Police received a burning complaint that occurred on High Street.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident on Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received an animal complaint that occurred at a business on Route 879.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct on Park Avenue Extension.
Sandy Township
- On Monday a Luthersburg man requested police to check the welfare of his 39-year-old girlfriend at her Circle Road residence. He was unable to reach her by phone after she had left him voicemails, stating she was afraid her estranged boyfriend was going to harm her. Officers arrived at the residence and determined that the woman was OK and handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Monday at Taco Bell.
- Police received a report about a man who was allegedly driving erratically in the DuBois Mall parking lot Monday with a woman in the back of his truck. Upon arrival officers located the 45-year-old man and his 32-year-old wife who had been fighting, but they denied any physical altercation. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- A 54-year-old Treasure Lake woman was stopped in traffic Monday on Bee Line Highway when a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Treasure Lake woman was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting her vehicle. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Monday at JC Penney.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Tuesday at Sears.
- A 22-year-old Hammondsport, NY woman was allegedly caught by Wal-Mart employees attempting to take a ring without paying for it. Charges were filed as a result, police said.
- On Tuesday a Rockton Road woman alleged that an unknown man who had gotten off a bus asked to sleep on her porch. Upon arrival police allegedly located the 27-year-old man in the woman’s yard. He told police that he had just arrived from Harrisburg, where he had been in jail. While speaking to the man, officers suspected he had been using drugs, and the man allegedly admitted to it. The man was then taken into custody and transported to the Clearfield County Jail, police said.
- A 17-year-old girl lost control of her vehicle while driving Tuesday on Clear Run Road, causing it to hit a bank and partially flip over. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and no injuries were reported, police said.
- Police were called to a Treasure Lake residence Tuesday for an alleged unruly 19-year-old man. The man had allegedly been drinking and became irate with family members, causing damage to several items, including a vehicle. However, the man had fled the scene prior to police arrival.
