CLEARFIELD – Four individuals have expressed written interest in filling a vacant seat on the Clearfield school board, said Superintendent Terry Struble after Monday night’s regular meeting.
Struble identified the four individuals as Randy Pataky, Al Royer, Susan Carns and Annjane Ross. All four, he said, will have an opportunity to verbally address the board next week.
Struble said the board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24 at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School library.
He said the board will first hear from each prospective candidate and then vote to fill the vacancy. The special meeting is open to the public, he said.
The board vacancy is due to the recent resignation of Rod Rishel. Rishel’s resignation was accepted by the board last week; he resigned for “personal reasons,” according to a previous GantDaily report.
