PIKE TOWNSHIP – A 39-year-old Curwensville man, Meirlin W. McGary, was killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident Saturday on Douglas Road in Pike Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
According to the report, a family member reported McGary as missing on Sunday. He had last been seen on Saturday evening. State police determined the accident location Sunday evening.
State police said McGary was traveling north on Douglas Road at an unsafe speed. As a result, he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the roadway.
McGary’s ATV traveled down an embankment into a wooded area. McGary died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident, according to the report.
