CLEARFIELD — The Clearfield American Legion Post 6 baseball team lost its second doubleheader in the Bellefonte Bandits Wood Bat Tournament because of Saturday and Sunday rains that forced cancellation of all remaining games.
One of six teams to go 1-1 Friday, the Chiefs were in contention for a semifinal berth with one run allowed, which was tourney tiebreaker format.
The PA Lightning also gave up just one run, but the Chiefs were 1-0 winners over the Oil City-based team in their opener.
The Clearfield Legion (4-7) will resume Central Penn League action Tuesday with a road game against Mifflin County.
