HYDE — A May 1 victory turned into a 7-0 forfeit loss for the Clearfield Area High School baseball team because a Bald Eagle Area protest filed after their Mountain League game was upheld by the District 6 Baseball Committee.
The Bison defeated the Eagles 6-5 in 10 innings at the Bison Sports Complex, but pitcher Thomas Summers exceeded the PIAA limit of 14 innings in a week when he was sent out by mistake to work the eighth inning.
Clearfield’s overall record changed from13-4 to 12-5 for this week.
