Motorbike bomber kills 22 at bank in Afghanistan

A suicide bomber on a motorbike blew himself up in front of the Kabul Bank in Jalalabad city early Saturday, a local government spokesman said.

At least 22 people died and more than 50 others were wounded, according to governor’s spokesman Ahmad Zia Abdulzai.

The bomber detonated his charge at the peak of rush hour, on the first day of the week, when the bank could be expected to be crowded.
