Jeremy Clarkson: Commiserations and criticism on Twitter

Despite more than a million signatories asking for Jeremy Clarkson to be reinstated at the BBC, the British broadcaster announced earlier today that the former “Top Gear” host’s contract will not be renewed.

It was just a waiting game at first.

“Just to keep everyone up to date, I haven’t heard a thing,” Clarkson tweeted earlier.

If there was one Twitter handle people were waiting for, it was former CNN host Piers Morgan’s, who has had a longstanding spat with Clarkson.

He made sure he had fun during the wait.

Before twisting the knife in.

It was a devastating day for some.

Others thought it was the right decision, but took an unreasonably long time.

Others were bored being stuck in Twitter traffic.

Even former MPs chimed in.

But there is faith in the motoring show host’s future without “Top Gear.”

And Clarkson changed his Twitter bio faster than a Hennessey Venom GT.
