Video shows missing UK teens at Turkey-Syria border, Reuters reports

A video purportedly shows three British schoolgirls preparing to cross the Turkish border last month into Syria, where the teens are believed to have traveled to join ISIS, the Reuters news service reported Friday.

If authentic, it would represent the first publicly released images showing the girls at the Turkey-Syria border.

The video, according to Reuters, shows someone taking luggage out of a vehicle’s trunk for the three girls in the Turkish border town of Gaziantep on February 19. The news service distributed the video Friday.

February 19 was two days after the three East London classmates — Shamima Begum, 15; Kadiza Sultana, 16; and Amira Abase, 15 — boarded a Turkish Airlines plane from London’s Gatwick Airport to Istanbul.

UK police declared them missing days after the flight, saying they had information to suggest that they intended to join ISIS in Syria.
