UNION TOWNSHIP – The investigation is continuing into a hit-and-run accident that occurred Thursday on South Eagle Valley Road in Union Township, reported the state police at Philipsburg.
According to state police, for unknown reasons, the suspect vehicle, a possible 2009-2015 Chevrolet Aveo, exited the roadway to the left and crossed the southbound lane. It continued to strike a snow bank, garbage cans, a wooden shed and another parked vehicle.
The suspect vehicle then fled the scene towards Milesburg. It should have extensive damage, including that to a hub cap, and is missing a rear window, state police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
