Suicide attack outside Iranian embassy in Kabul kills 2

A suicide attack on a Turkish military convoy in Kabul killed two people and injured two others, the Afghan interior ministry said Thursday.

The attack, which killed members of the Turkish military and Afghan security forces, took place outside the Iranian embassy, which is next to the Turkish embassy.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham condemned the attack.

“All colleagues at the embassy are safe and sound, and no damage has been done to our country’s embassy as a result of the terrorist act,” Afkham said according to Iran’s Press TV.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, according to a tweet from the group’s spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid
