ROCKTON – A two-vehicle accident involving injuries and leaking fluids occurred on Route 322 at Rockton Mountain this morning, according to Lawrence Township fire officials.
Upon arrival to the scene, firefighters determined there was a person entrapped inside one of the vehicles. As a result, the Penfield Volunteer Fire Department was requested to respond with additional resources.
Crews were able to extricate the person by removing the roof of the vehicle. The person was later flown from the scene by trauma helicopter, fire officials said. Both Lawrence Township and Penfield fire departments remained at the scene afterward.
