HUNTINGDON – It was a long road trip to Huntingdon Friday night for the Clearfield girls basketball team as it faced the Lady Bearcats in Mountain League action.
Winning all four quarters, Huntingdon knocked off the Lady Bison 56-31 dropping Clearfield to 4-10 overall and 3-4 in the Mountain league.
The Lady Bearcats evened their record at 8-8 on the year and above .500 in the league at 5-4.
Huntingdon won the first time the two teams met this season in December, at Clearfield, 37-25.
Clearfield, who had no player in double figures, was led on offense by Rachel Glenny with eight points and Emily Ryan with seven.
Bri Rivello had a game high 17 points for Huntingdon while Ellie Keller with 14 and Janay McCrum with 10 helped the Bearcat cause.
Keller drained four three-pointers on the evening.
The junior varsity game also went to Huntingdon, defeating Clearfield by a score of 24-13. Samantha Rockmore had eight points for the Lady Bison.
Clearfield’s next game is scheduled for Monday night at Bellefonte. The game had originally been scheduled for Tuesday but was switched due to a change in the wrestling schedule at Bellefonte.
