TYRONE – Leaders at Tyrone Regional Health Network (TRHN) have announced that they will open the Northern Blair Medical Center in Antis Township in spring of 2015.
The Antis Township Planning Commission recently approved plans submitted by local developer Jeff Long to expand the former LaScalia’s building in Pinecroft to 12,670 square feet to accommodate plans for the medical center. Construction on the facility is currently under way.
Plans for the new facility were developed cooperatively by leaders from TRHN and ProCare, a leading physical and occupational therapy provider. ProCare has been the physical and occupational therapy provider at TRHN for a number of years. The two organizations also partnered to develop the Tyrone Health and Wellness Center.
The new medical center will house a new ProCare outpatient physical and occupational therapy facility and physician offices, including the practice of Fidelis Ejianreh, D.O, family medicine physician and Lawrence Levinson, M.D., internal medicine physician.
Stephen Gildea, MBA, FACHE, chief executive officer at TRHN, said the new medical center will greatly improve the office space and provide much needed space for some growing physician practices. These offices will provide access to high quality physicians and new offices in the northern Altoona, Bellwood, Tipton, Bellmeade and Pinecroft areas.
“We’re excited to be part of the new and expanding service offerings by Tyrone Regional Health Network, said Jim Foreman, chief executive officer at ProCare. “Tyrone Regional is leading the way in central PA with its streamlined and clean and cost effective approach to bringing modern healthcare services closer to the front door of the communities it serves.”
Bellmeade Family Medicine, the office of Fidelis Ejianreh, D.O., Alexas Claar, CRNP and Tia Dudukovich, PA-C will relocate from the Martin’s plaza on Pleasant Valley Boulevard to the new medical center. The move will provide additional space for Ejianreh’s practice, which has outgrown its current location.
Internal Medicine physician Lawrence Levinson, M.D., who has joined TRHN, will be relocating his Tipton practice, The Tipton Medical and Diagnostic Center, to the new facility. Levinson will continue to see patients and provide medical services and also conduct clinical medication trials at the new medical center.
In the near future, additional primary care physicians and specialists will be opening offices at TRHN’s Northern Blair Medical Center to provide services to a growing area of Blair County. The offices are conveniently located just off the Pinecroft exit of Interstate 99, midway between the Altoona and Bellwood exits. This new location of the growing Tyrone Regional Health Network will provide a high level of patient services with extended hours that will greatly improve access to healthcare services for the region.
