HYDE — The 7th edition of the Clearfield Bison Duals promises to be the biggest one so far.
With 12 teams each assured of five dual meets and for the first time ever there will be wrestling in the brand new Bison Gym, as well as the Arthur J. Weiss Gymnasium, no wrestling fan will be slighted if they want to see some great scholastic action.
Leading the field will be last year’s champion West Branch Warriors and this year’s top seeded team the General McLane Lancers, winners of the 2013 Bison Duals.
The host Bison will look to improve upon last year’s fourth place finish, as will the Curwensville Golden Tide, which finished last in a nine-team field last year.
Due to the addition of three teams, a new format will be in place this year. There will be four pools of three teams with the top two teams from each pool advancing to a bracket tourney for places first through eighth, and the bottom teams from each pool competing in a round-robin format for ninth through 12th place.
