Average Gas Prices Fall 6.6 Cents in PA

PENNSYLVANIA – Average retail gasoline prices in Pennsylvania have fallen 6.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.51 per gallon yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 5,269 gas outlets in Pennsylvania.

Clearfield Salvation Army Falls Short of Bell Ringing Goal

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Salvation Army raised $43,099.36 toward its Red Kettle goal of $45,000 for the 2014 Christmas season.

Wetzel Waives Hearing in Simple Assault Case

CLEARFIELD – A 30-year-old Mahaffey man accused of simple assault waived his right to a preliminary hearing during Centralized Court on Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.

Daniel Wayne Wetzel, 30, of Mahaffey has been charged with simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment. His bail has been set at $25,000 unsecured.

Clearfield Borough Announces PennDOT Bid Award for Streetscape Project

CLEARFIELD – At last night’s Clearfield Borough committee meeting, Operations Manager Leslie Stott reported that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation had opened bids Thursday morning for the Clearfield Streetscape project.
