The Benazir Bhutto International Airport is on red alert, all exits and entrances are sealed, and flight operations are suspended, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority posted on Twitter.
It was not immediately clear what triggered the disruption.
The airport serves Islamabad, the country’s capital.
