State police at Clearfield
- An incident of scattering rubbish occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Graham Road in Bradford Township. Further, someone allegedly threw rubber gloves onto the victim’s property and then fled the scene. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Thursday on Little Clearfield Creek Road in Pike Township. Jason Zwolski of Curwensville lost control of his pick-up truck while attempting to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. His truck skidded off of the roadway and into a yard before jumping a small mound of dirt, continuing through brush and coming to a final rest after impact with an embankment. Zwolski fled the scene after impact, which caused disabling damage to the front of his truck. Zwolski was cited for the accident; his truck was towed from the scene.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Saturday or Sunday on Ball Hollow Road in Beccaria Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s mailbox. Damage is estimated at approximately $20. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Thursday on Interstate 80 in Pine Township. Further, the operator of a tractor-trailer was traveling westbound when they crashed into a disabled vehicle and then fled the scene. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- An accident occurred Sunday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township. Patricia Renwick of Penfield was traveling northbound when her vehicle exited the east side of the roadway and crashed. State police were assisted at the scene by DuSan Emergency Medical Services, the Penfield Fire Department and towing services.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Thursday o Ann Street in Reynoldsville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly drove a dark-colored Ford Ranger through the victim’s yard. They also allegedly struck a clothesline pole, damaging it before fleeing the scene into the woods off of Reservoir Road. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred sometime Nov. 10-11 in the area of Phoenix and Dale roads in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole home heating fuel from the victim’s tank.
- An incident of harassment occurred Friday at the Philipsburg-Osceola High School. During the incident, two students allegedly engaged in a fight.
- On Saturday, a known 19-year-old man was allegedly in possession of a 12-pack of Corona beer on Interstate 99 at mile-marker 68 in Patton Township.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on Route 255 near Contero Road in Jay Township. Further, a 19-year-old St. Marys man was traveling in a Chevrolet Colorado when he was observed crossing the centerline several times. Upon conducting a traffic stop, he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges, state police said, are currently pending blood test results.
- An accident occurred Saturday on Shelvey Summit Road in Fox Township. Jason M. Hanes of St. Marys was traveling northbound when two deer ran into the path of his vehicle. Hanes was unable to bring his vehicle to a stop and struck both deer.
DuBois City
- On Friday, police received a report about an attempted theft in the 100 block of East Weber Avenue. The victim told police that he heard an alarm sounding in his vehicle; his vehicle’s interior light was also on. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Saturday, police received a report about two brothers who were allegedly engaged in a fight in the 600 block of Chestnut Street. Upon arrival police separated the males who weren’t injured in the fight. It was also noted by police that neither male wanted to pursue charges.
- Police were approached by a female Saturday in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. The female told police that there was a fight inside the business that she was standing in front of. Upon pulling into the parking lot, police observed multiple people who were yelling at each other. Upon investigation police found an altercation occurred inside the business, which continued outside. Police separated the individuals and charges weren’t filed as a result.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft Saturday at a business in the 300 block of West DuBois Avenue. The victim told police that a customer issued a bad check for services provided to her. The investigation, police said, is continuing with charges pending at this time.
- On Saturday, police received a report about an alleged theft in the 500 block of Liberty Boulevard. The victim told police that someone stole her wallet that contained more than $4,000 inside of it. Police do have a suspect and charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about an alarm Saturday at a business in the 600 block of East DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival police searched both the interior and exterior of the business after which they found everything to be OK.
- On Sunday, police received a report about a light blinking outside of a business on McCracken Run Road. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about four male juveniles who were allegedly throwing fireworks at vehicles Sunday in the 800 block of West Washington Avenue. Police searched the area for the juveniles but were unable to locate them. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- During the week of Nov. 9-15, police investigated two vehicle accidents. Police also issued 40 traffic citations and 12 written warnings.
Sandy Township
- A 51-year-old Treasure Lake man lost control of his vehicle Friday in the vicinity of Basse Terra and Caribbean roads in Treasure Lake due to icy roadways. His vehicle slid into the oncoming lane and hit a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Mayport woman. The man’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported, police said.
- A false alarm occurred Friday at Hawbakers.
- On Friday, an Acer laptop was turned in to police.
- A tractor-trailer driven by a 47-year-old Myerstown man attempted to turn around Friday at the Wayne Road storage building on Route 255 and hit the building, causing severe damage. The man then left the scene, police said. It was noted that the trucking company later contacted the owner of the storage sheds and provided the driver’s information.
- On Friday, a 36-year-old Forest Avenue woman reported that a 17-year-old boy came to her house after being told not to. Police handled the situation without incident.
- A 49-year-old Penfield man reported that his foot slipped off the brake pedal while he was driving Saturday on the Bee Line Highway. This, he said, caused him to hit a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old DuBois woman who was pushed into a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Reynoldsville man. The woman’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and she was taken to Penn Highlands for treatment of her injuries, police said.
- On Saturday, Treasure Lake Security reported that someone put nails and razor blades in the intersection of Clear Run and Bay roads.
- On Sunday, a William Penn Avenue resident reported that two males rang her door bell and ran away on three occasions in the middle of the night. Police will be increasing patrols in the area due to this ongoing activity.
- A Treasure Lake woman reported that she was walking her dogs when a mixed breed dog attacked her dogs on Sunday. One of the dogs was injured, police said. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- A vehicle driven by a 55-year-old Dubois woman failed to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by an 86-year-old Punxsutawney man that was stopped at a traffic light on Sunday. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- On Sunday, Wal-Mart employees reported a male and female were opening packages for phone cases. Afterward, the 27-year-old DuBois woman and the 34-year-old Treasure Lake man left the store. Police pulled over the vehicle they were passengers in, and they were subsequently arrested for retail theft.
Decatur Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment. Further, a male told police he was being harassed by his ex-girlfriend. He also requested information about obtaining a protection from abuse order.
- Police received a report from a female who was allegedly receiving unwanted phone calls. Police made contact with the parties involved and advised to stop the calls.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident in Osceola Mills Borough. Further, a vehicle was struck while it was parked in front of the post office. Police located the suspect vehicle and assisted in the exchange of information.
- While on routine patrols, police located an all-terrain vehicle being driven on the roadway in Osceola Mills. The driver, police said, will be cited for several traffic violations. Police would like to remind all utility-terrain and ATV owners that these vehicles aren’t permitted on roadways and violators will be cited for their actions.
- A female reported to police that she was given several bad checks from a male. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a parking complaint that occurred in Osceola Mills Borough. The owner, police said, was contacted and agreed to move the vehicle.
- Police received a parking complaint that occurred in Houtzdale Borough. Further, police issued a parking ticket for the violation.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam. Further, a resident told police that he was contacted by a male who requested payment over the phone.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the Peebles parking lot. Upon arrival police assisted with the exchange of information.
