Women totally stole the show at the 2014 Country Music Awards. Here’s our favorite moments of the night.

First, Carrie Underwood took charge and revealed the gender of her unborn baby! Well, actually, her co-host Brad Paisley did.

“Tonight, Garth Brooks returns to the CMA stage when he presents our final award, Entertainer of the Year. Do you think he’ll sign my baby?”

“Oh yeah, that would be great! Hey! We could name him Garth!”

“What are you doing?!”

“OH! Dammit!”

And now we know never to trust Brad with any big secrets.

And while Luke Bryan took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year award, it was Miranda Lambert who really won big.

“Thank you so much for letting me live my dream and for believing in my art. It means the world to my, to all the other amazing female artists out there, female vocalists, female songwriters. I’m trying to represent for you girls. Thank you so much. I love you.” (Clips courtesy of the Country Music Association and American Broadcasting Companies, Inc.)

And Miranda’s wins got a lot more attention — Female Vocalist of the Year was trending on Twitter all through the night, while Entertainer of the Year was nowhere to be seen.

Next, Kacey Musgraves’s hairdo was a little on the bigger side, but it definitely got everyone talking.

Media outlets everywhere were either wondering what was hiding in that massive bouffant or marveling at her ability to totally pull it off.

But Musgraves’s hair wasn’t the only thing that got noticed — Her single “Follow Your Arrow” won a CMA trophy for Song of the Year. (Video via Mercury Records / Kacey Musgraves)

And finally, some awesome ladies from the pop world paid the CMAs a visit to perform some epic collaborations with our favorite country stars.

Meghan Trainor teamed up with Miranda Lambert to belt out a country version of “All About That Bass.”

“Because you know I’m all about that bass, about that bass, no treble. I’m all about that bass, about that bass, no treble. I’m all about that bass, about that bass, no treble. I’m all about that bass, about that bass, hey!” (Clips courtesy of the Country Music Association and American Broadcasting Companies, Inc.)

And Little Big Town sang backup for Ariana Grande’s hit, “Bang, Bang.”

“Bang, bang into the room, I know you want it. Bang, bang all over you, I’ll let you have it.” (Clips courtesy of the Country Music Association and American Broadcasting Companies, Inc.)

There were plenty more jaw-dropping moments at the CMAs, including performances from Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, and Keith Urban. Head to the CMA Awards website to check it all out.
