HARRISBURG (AP) – Pennsylvania State Police fear the man suspected of killing one trooper and wounding a second is looking to strike again.

Police Commissioner Frank Noonan spoke about the more than month-long effort to capture Eric Frein after updating lawmakers at the state Capitol.

Noonan said his concerns about Frein are based on a review by behavioral scientists.

He said investigators believe Frein is “looking to do more types of crimes like this if he has the opportunity.”

Police believe they have Frein contained in a 5-square-mile area in the woods of northeastern Pennsylvania.

As long as they do, Noonan said Frein doesn’t have access to a lot of potential victims.

Cpl. Bryon Dickson was killed in the Sept. 12 ambush outside the Blooming Grove state police barracks.
