AUSTIN – Calling all homeschoolers. Bring your children to Sinnemahoning for some fun and learning.
On Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Sinnemahoning State Park environmental education program will offer “Wild About Elk” to homeschooled students in grades K-12. Students will enjoy learning through stories, crafts, games and hands-on activities.
This program is free of charge, but pre-registration is required. To register your child, please contact the park office at Sinnemahoning State Park at 814-647-8401 or SinnemahoningSP@pa.gov. Program size is limited so registering early is encouraged.
All programs will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly. Please bring a lunch. Meet at the 40 Maples Day Use Area.
If you need an accommodation to participate in Pennsylvania State Park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
