Zurat Works Two Innings in Sixth Minor League Appearance

PASCO, Wash. — Pitching for the first time in 10 days, Tri-City reliever Chad Zurat (Clearfield) worked two innings in an 11-1 Northwest League loss to visiting Vancouver in front of 3,212 fans at Gesa Stadium Saturday night.

The Dust Devils already were down 6-0 when the right-hander came out of the bullpen to navigate a scoreless fifth inning before allowing two runs on a walk and two hits in the sixth.

He struck out three and walked two in his sixth appearance for the Colorado Rockies affiliate.

Zurat has pitched 15 innings with 13 strikeouts and four walks. Opponents have gotten to him for 25 hits and 17 runs, 15 earned.

Tri-City enters the week with an 8-9 second-half record and tied with Everett for first place in the North Division.
