State Police Investigating Attempted Robbery, Theft

CHESTER HILL – The Clearfield-based state police have initiated an investigation into an attempted robbery/theft that occurred at 5:58 a.m. Friday at the FuelOn Convenience Store on Walton Street in Chester Hill Borough.

The suspect allegedly arrived at the convenience store and pulled a gun on the victim, a 66-year-old Philipsburg woman. Then, he allegedly ordered the victim to give him all of the money.

The victim, however, wasn’t able to, and the suspect fled the scene south on Walton Street. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and blue jeans.

The suspect was approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He had a stocky build, and his gun was small and black, according to state police.
