CLEARFIELD – An elderly couple was flown to an area trauma center after an accident yesterday afternoon on state Route 879, reported the Lawrence Township police.
Upon arrival to the scene, police found the elderly individuals entrapped in their vehicle. Both were subsequently flown from the scene with moderate to severe injuries.
Police were assisted at the scene by fire, emergency medical services, MedEvac and personnel, PennDOT and Clearfield Borough police. Fire police assisted with traffic control.
