WESTOVER — Junior Ciara Strickland scored 19 points while senior Tierra Shope and sophomore Shauna Guy posted career highs as the Curwensville Area High School girls basketball team matched last season’s 4-0 start with a 60-23 Moshannon Valley League victory over Harmony Monday night.
Shope netted 14 points and Guy tallied 10 points.
Those two combined for 13 points in the first period, when the Lady Tide established their dominance, 19-6, on their way to a 33-9 halftime lead in their second MVL win.
For the host Lady Owls (0-4, 0-3 MVL), Lindsay Welteroth hit a trio of three-pointers and finished with 10 points.
Coach Rusty McCracken’s Lady Tide return to their Patton Hall hardwood Friday night for an Allegheny Mountain League cross-over game with Kane.
