State police at Clearfield
- An incident of trespassing occurred Tuesday in a wooded area off of state Route 53 in Cooper Township. During the incident, three males were caught hunting on the victim’s property and cited through the district court.
- No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday on the Quehanna Highway in Karthaus Township. Robert E. Moore of Karthaus was traveling eastbound and attempting to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. He lost control of his vehicle, which traveled off the roadway and struck an electronic PennDOT sign. His vehicle continued striking the Quehanna Boot Camp sign and came to a final rest, facing a southerly direction. Moore was evaluated by Karthaus Emergency Medical Services, and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of DUI occurred Thursday on South Eagle Valley Road in Worth Township. During a traffic stop, a male was arrested for DUI after being pulled over for traveling 82 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.
- An incident of theft occurred sometime Nov. 27-28 in the alley between North Fourth and North Centre streets in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone smashed out the victim’s car window and removed items. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Tuesday or Wednesday in the 200 block of North Fifth Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone threw several eggs at the victim’s vehicles while parked outside their residence. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- The investigation is continuing into a complaint of harassment that occurred on East Market Street. Further, a 45-year-old Clearfield man pushed a 53-year-old Clearfield woman after an argument over a garbage can that was in the hallway of an apartment complex.
- The investigation is continuing into a complaint about a bad check that was issued to a business on South Fourth Street.
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance at Daisy Street residence. Further, a 90-year-old Clearfield man and a 52-year-old Clearfield woman engaged in a verbal argument. The woman agreed to leave the residence for the evening.
- The investigation is continuing into a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the parking lot of Silver Screen Video. The operator of a green pick-up truck backed into a parked vehicle, causing damage. The truck’s operator then fled the scene.
Lawrence Township
- Police assisted emergency personnel with entering a residence on Highview Road.
- Police checked the welfare of a female on Montgomery Run Road and found everything to be OK.
- Police responded to a traffic complaint on River Road but were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an incident of retail theft at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of the Clearfield Mall. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
- Police received a report about a disabled school bus on Washington Avenue.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Old Erie Pike. Further, the operator of a vehicle struck a deer and then a tree. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
- Police responded to the area of Legion Road for a reported intoxicated male. Upon arrival police located the male and cited him for public drunkenness.
Curwensville Borough
- Police responded to a verbal domestic dispute Wednesday at a Filbert Street residence.
- An unknown operator of a tractor-trailer drove off the roadway in the area of Naulton and West streets, damaging signs.
DuBois City
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Wednesday in the area of New and Williams streets. Further, a 19-year-old Reynoldsville woman was taken into custody for driving under the influence. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
- No charges were filed after a domestic dispute Wednesday in the first block of East Park Avenue. During the incident, a man and his ex-girlfriend were arguing, at which point he threw her phone into the snow and mud. Upon police arrival, the woman was leaving the scene and advised there wasn’t any issue.
- On Wednesday, a blue-colored, 1989 Chevrolet Corsica was reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Olive Avenue. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An alarm was activated Wednesday at Ben Rossi Jewelers on West Long Avenue. Police found the building secured.
