CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Area Senior Bison Marching Band members, along with senior football players and cheerleaders, will be recognized at halftime this Friday at the Clearfield High School.

Seniors and remaining band members, under the direction of Raymond Mandell, CHS director of instrumental music, will be performing their “007 Bison Bond” halftime show prior to the football game.

Members of the Clearfield Area Bison Marching Band will also be participating in the “Clearfield/Centre County Band Show” scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at the L.T. Drivas Memorial Field at the West Branch High School.

Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children and senior Citizens.  Those bands participating in the show from Clearfield County will be Clearfield, Glendale, Moshannon Valley, Philipsburg-Osceola and West Branch.  Those from Centre County will be Bald Eagle, Bellefonte and Penns Valley.

All bands will be performing their halftime shows.  Plaques will be awarded to each band at the close of the evening.  The West Branch Band Boosters will have their concession stand open throughout the evening.  There will also be a 50/50 drawing, and orders will be taken for band show T-shirts that will be delivered to each school before Thanksgiving.

All proceeds from the festival will help defer the cost of the festival, with remaining proceeds going to the West Branch Band.  This band show event was organized by Jennifer L. Sproull, director of bands at the West Branch High School.  Please contact your school for more information about how your child can be involved with music.
