PHILIPSBURG – Murarik Motorsports of Philipsburg will host its third annual Haunted House tour. The Haunted House is a free event to be held from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. Oct. 25 and from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Oct. 26

The charity event was created to help area groups, non?profits and families who are in need. It’s possible through donations and its organizers are all volunteers.

This year, all donations will benefit the Rowland Theatre in Philipsburg, www.rowlandtheatre.com. The theater is currently raising funds to convert to digital technology.

The Haunted House features more than 10 different rooms and themes with 40-plus volunteers who will be on-site. Further, a kid-friendly zone will also be available.

Tour guests must be able to ascend and descend stairs and somewhat narrow spaces at times. Some areas will be extremely dark. Strobe lights and fog machines will be used on-site.

Tour guests who have heart conditions or who may suffer from seizures should not tour the Haunted House. Children under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Refreshments will be available for purchase, and a picnic area will be available for patrons who don’t wish to participate in the Haunted House tour.

Organizers are still seeking individuals and organizations that are interested in promoting and donating to the event. Sponsors are eligible to promote their business or cause on-site at the Haunted House. However, sponsors should make arrangements in advance to advertise on?site.

Organizers need advertising and promotion; prop donations, items for giveaways and actor volunteers.
