CLEARFIELD — The Clearfield VFW fall baseball team avenged its only loss of the season by edging Bigler-West Branch 7-5 Saturday and then ran its win total to 10 by routing Moshannon Valley 11-3 and Penns Valley 16-5 Sunday at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field.
Cole Kephart drove in three runs with a triple and a single and Devin Jones registered his third victory in a come-from-behind win over Bigler-West Branch.
Logan Puit also had a pair of hits and Sawyer Rowles clubbed a triple.
Connor Myers had three hits, one a triple, for the visitors.
Kephart, Zach Timchak and Josh Kennedy each had two of Clearfield’s 12 hits and Thomas Summers slugged a home run in the opener Sunday.
Nate Brady struck out nine while holding Mo Valley to five hits.
Summers upped his record to 5-0 in the nightcap behind another 12-hit attack.
Timchak paced the hosts with three singles and three RBIs.
Kephart homered and Summers, Kennedy and Puit doubled.
Clearfield is booked for two doubleheaders next weekend, Saturday at home against Bigler-West Branch and Sunday at Bellefonte.
