Italian Food & Heritage Festival Slated at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park

TIPTON – If you enjoy delicious Italian food and fine Italian music, then it is time for you to pull out your red, white and green and join the DelGrosso family this Sunday for the 24th annual Italian Food and Heritage Festival.

“We are proud of our family heritage and traditions.  If there is one thing Italian families love, it is good food.  This annual showcase of food, family and fun is a celebration we look forward to every year,” says Carl Crider Jr., president of DelGrosso’s Amusement Park.

The Italian Food and Heritage Festival runs from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday. DelGrosso Foods Inc. and University Orthopedics Center sponsor this annual day of Italian food and music.

There will be something for every taste bud.  The kitchens of DelGrosso will be serving up lasagna, chicken stuffed with spinach and asiago cheese, Italian wedding soup, pasta fagioli and much more.  Angelo Pacifico and Son’s Bakery will have their amazing breads and the Mt. Carmel Social Committee features Italian Pastries that will include biscotti and cannoli.  You can top off your visit with Italian rum cake or tiramisu from the kitchens of DelGrosso.

Jimmy Sapienza’s Five Guys Named Moe from Pittsburgh will take the stage at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.  Faiella’s Father and Son Strolling Guitar and Mandolin Duo will entertain guests throughout the park.

The Italian Food and Heritage Festival takes place during the park’s annual Car Load Sale Weekend.  On Saturday and Sunday, up to 10 people who are safely seat-belted in one vehicle can get an All-Day Fun Pass for the rides for just $10 per car. This is a great deal for the family who would like to have some park fun before the end of the season.

DelGrosso’s Amusement Park is open weekends in September at 11 a.m.   Detour Reminder: Due to bridge construction on Pleasant Valley Boulevard, there isn’t any access to DelGrosso’s Amusement Park from Exit 41.  Please remember to use Exit 45 – Tipton/Grazierville.
